Lesley Jacobson runs Jacobson Art House which buys, refinishes, and sells vintage furniture and has now branched out into the fine arts. Her current medium is acrylic on canvas, working abstractly but inspired by nature. Her work can be seen at Trailside Cafe where she had a successful solo art show; in Donna Hair Design as part of Chappaqua's Art Around Town Festival, at Peter Pratt’s Inn and was recently hung at the Kinosaito Art Center in Verplank in an auction supporting CURE100’s efforts in reducing carbon emissions.
In 2016, Lesley moved to Yorktown Heights with her young family and immediately saw the potential for her community to show its personality via different forms of art expression. To that end, she spearheaded Art Around Town of Yorktown, an initiative of the Yorktown Small Business Association, which is pairing artists and musicians with small businesses to stimulate the local economy. Lesley is determined to bring the arts to Yorktown and is booking art exhibitions, craft fairs and music gigs at an unprecedented rate.
Lesley brings a wealth of experience to both Jacobson Art House and Art Around Town including more than 20 years' experience in the antiques, furniture design, construction and building structures industries. She also brings a wealth of management, production and marketing experience having produced commercials. Lesley is an accomplished violinist, having graduated from NYU with a double major in jazz violin performance and film production through the Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
